31 January 2010

Day off on Monday! yay!

My laptop, Compaq Presario C300 has officially been declared MALFUNCTION today, 1st of February 2010 after a series of post-mortem. It was on the 30th of January 2010 when my laptop went down. I was formatting my laptop because it was infected really bad. I actually was able to complete the formatting session. But somehow, I inaccidentally disturbed the BIOS system in the laptop (I got the driver from Compaq's website.). I was randomly installing drivers to complete the laptop driver management since there was still 4 unknown driver stated in the Device Manager.

The laptop couldn't detect any hard disc drive connected from the motherboard. But it did detect the thumb drive connected on the USB port. Maybe I could use an external hard disc drive and install the Windows OS on it.

Thing couldn't be better on the 31st of January 2010 when my new laptop, Hp Mini came in. I got the laptop around 9:40am in the morning. Yes! I was so happy, I invited Cello to my house for a new recording session for a new song!

Today I was asked by my mother to complete a delivery for a man from Korea who happens to be a teacher based on the name card given, help him to deliver a post to a kid, a young girl who I think is his student. The man is probably her language teacher.

My mother told me that the Korean guy was heading back to his homeland and wanted to post his gift to his student but turns out that there was no post office to be found in the MAS airport. So he turn to my mother and gave the responsibility to her to send his gift to the young girl.

I felt bad when I checked out what the man wanted to send, it was a very beautiful thumb drive (probably from Korea based on the art on the thumb drive) and some plum candy.

Somehow, my heart was overwhelmed, I don't know the story, maybe the teacher liked the student so much, he gave a gift before going back to his homeland. Or maybe the young girl was his best student, probably. Anyhow, the situation was heart-whelming.

According to the card attached, he is a Prof. of Japanese Language Dept. in SAHMYOOK UNIVERSITY.

Oh I wish I could go to Korea one day.

I'll try to complete the delivery today. I don't know how since I never dealt with delivering item that is thick.

Happy Monday! (There was a quote saying that Monday sucks. :p)
